Castiel had learned much during his last days on Earth, feeling second to second as his divinity was slipping, inexorably becoming what those beings with whom he was fighting were.

could not help yearning and longing for their former status. Castiel was an angel, he knew the warmth and protection of light, had bathed in it, was part of it. But the painful experience of becoming man opened his eyes in a way not expected. How was it possible that with so many flaws and limitations could face adversity as they did? How Dean could resist in hell for so long without cracking? How did Sam combat and escape the Dark?

Sam Winchester had been trained and guided to their destination had been manipulated for evil. His soul had been embedded with a demonic power source for the sole purpose of revenge and mold to bring destruction to the world, to provide the strength needed to walk Evil inevitable and unstoppable on the face of the Earth.

Despite the abominable plan that clung about him, the constant torture and the systematic plundering of their options, Sam Winchester was in his heart a love and faith even more bigger and stronger than the vile blackness that clung to his heart with hooks of brimstone and fire.

was how Sam managed to conquer the evil that had been passed: the rejected with all their might for the sake of his brother, his friends, all humanity and Castiel - maybe - getting to save them all, though not himself.

Millennia of seeing hundreds of human sacrifices for a good cause, each and every one of them special in their own way, but still Castiel was not prepared for the injustice that was to see Sam Winchester lost and suffering in the abyss. Not after Dean had given everything for him, not after they had given everything Castiel by Dean, not after Sam had given everything for all .

Long before Castiel had made contact with the Winchester brothers, long before Sam and Dean were born and the first misery is made visible in the sky as a result of the creation of the earth and the beings that populate the story two kindred spirits who would restore calm on both sides began to hear whispers among the angels.

Nothing that was said to be entirely clear, the information was not complete and it was so crazy that, experience and reason, Castiel only considered one of the tales of some of his brothers seemed to enjoy create.

However, there was a strange piece of history that had always attracted. Castiel was part of the Light, was one with his brothers and with it, I just knew how to exist as a community. He loved being part of the One so great, there was nothing I knew that could be better than that. But in history there was talk of only two people, two humans, two kindred spirits, who belonged to each other and nobody else and that intrigued him.

How would you feel? What would be the one and only one of whom depended on their existence, their life, their happiness? What if something happens to the other, if they were separate, if you lose? Having a soul mate sounded so limited and yet so big. Castiel

swam to the concept, did not understand, did not seem to make heads or tails but his obsession with the passage of time, he realized he wanted it for himself. The two beings on whom his brothers had begun to talk more and more often, he discovered, made him feel something like that humans called envy.

When they heard the first rumors that the case reached the angels would intervene and take over contact Winchester, Castiel told everyone who would listen that he wanted to be part of the mission. It was the perfect opportunity to see for own eyes and try to understand what it meant to really have a soulmate.

The angel was recruited for the task of watching the Winchester brothers but not before being warned about the dangers and consequences of getting too close to them. Castiel not serve the purposes of Heaven if it involved too. Castiel

executed his orders exactly how he was given. Witnessed the birth of the two brothers, his early years with his parents and the tragedy at the hands of the most formidable strategists of Hell that started it all: the fear, anguish, laughter, love, pain, fighting, separation and reunion.

so closely follow the Winchester proved that the warning that the angel had ignored was unfounded. I was not sure how or in what instances had occurred but found loving Castiel Sam and Dean in a manner unbecoming of a celestial being.

Angels should love all human beings alike should love them because they were another wonderful creation of His Father. Therefore, Castiel was surprised when she realized that her love for Sam and Dean Winchester was greater than that felt by the rest of humanity and even more surprised when he realized that not only loved them because they were part of the building God but for themselves. Dean

Winchester had a sweeping beauty and character. His integrity and dedication to his family was commendable. His love for his younger brother was only comparable to that young man had for him, to see them together was easier to understand the concept by which the angel had come down to Earth. Castiel Dean saw the strength of the winds and sunshine, and it seemed intoxicating.

Sam Winchester was beautiful, intelligent, passionate and sensitive. His thirst for knowledge coupled with his character had been Inquisitor strengthen not only your mind but also your soul. He was far from perfect, but those same flaws were what made the purity of his spirit still dazzle more angel.

Castiel knew this man more than any other, with its mistakes and successes loved him more than anyone else. If you could choose your soul mate, Sam Winchester would be his. But Castiel was not mistaken, the chances of that happening were completely void. Angels are part of a whole, not just one, and Sam had already been granted their par: his brother Dean.

knowledge of his inclinations toward brothers complicated the future of their interactions. Castiel was torn between the error of their feelings and the fear that its inability to follow the mandates of Heaven to be removed from the mission and perhaps even removed de su carácter angélico.

The seriousness of the situation in which humanity and Heaven itself were at that time required the full attention of an angel. Despite that, or rather as a consequence, its interaction with the brothers became increasingly common. Castiel

communicate almost exclusively chose Dean. He was strong and hard to convince when this was required. In fact, the angel was not at all proud of the number of times when he had finished following the plans of Dean. However, Castiel continued to believe that small acts of rebellion committed in the name of the cause would be better Heaven seen the unthinkable transgression that was his love for Sam.

The Angel and Dean's relationship evolved from a brief intolerance to the camaraderie. Castiel had wondered if the connection that bound them together have been the same if the circumstances had been different. I was sure it is. Dean gave him a place to Castiel in his life that went beyond the need. Castiel was his brother, his brother in arms, his friend . Sam and Castiel

failed to connect in the same way at first. Castiel's decision to keep his distance and that the boy suffered disappointment to discover that those beings which had placed all their hopes were not exactly what I expected they played a significant role in the initial tension that arose between the two. The strong emotional bond to be formed later between the vessel and the angel Lucifer, came with none of them anticipated.

During the months before the devastating conflict that lead to the Apocalypse, Castiel took a series of decisions in favor of Winchester features inconsistent with their duty absolutely angelic. Processes questioned, challenged established rules, disregarded orders, clear evidence of increasing dissimilarity with their brothers heaven.

The angel proceeded in the full knowledge of the consequences that ensue from its new attitude, accept the blame and fight it you should consider unjust punishment. Could never predict but the most unexpected and significant effects of their acts: Sam was no longer perceive it as a constant reminder of what he was and had slowly begun to feel more comfortable with the angel. Castiel

found impossible to resist the offer of friendship that Sam did. The carefully constructed barriers that had shattered at the first approaches Winchester leaving susceptible young every gesture, every accidental touch, every word. Even when the two were facing each passionately defending their point of view, openness more than once Sam had gotten into trouble with his father in the past was perceived by the angel as a virtue fascinating. Castiel did not rule that the appeal of this feature so characteristic of Sam had inspired his own newfound rebellion against the highest authority figure.

Sam was not smiling as much as it did before, a fact that the angel considered among the most vile consequences of the action of Darkness. The small number of times that Castiel might be there to witness or direct participant was among those small miracles the rare moments when his conscience could recognize well inexhaustible ability to continue falling in love deeper and deeper into the human.

After Lucifer Sam managed to catch in his own body to condemn the devil and himself to eternal imprisonment in Hell, life on Earth remained vibrant and beautiful in its usual chaos, with no knowledge of how close he had been in end.

Castiel knew all about martyrs and sacrifices were part of the job after all. His entire existence had been total dedication and devotion, had avocado to it without a shred of doubt and with the naturalness of their own essence.

El humano did not deserve that, not redeemed after the way they had done. Castiel would make his own offer.

The sky was cloudless, the same color as the eyes of Castiel noticed Sam missed. A slight breeze caressed his face and the smell of freshly cut grass filled his senses as nice and unmistakable as the heat of the sun on your skin.

Countless times he had been surrounded by images and people eventually believed Sam was really there, only to be taken away at that moment or, worse, be used to cause physical injury and the other, the more painful, of which one never recovers.

Not once during his stay in hell Sam was presented with a similar illusion. So banal and seemingly inconsequential. This was new.

Sam tried to sit up but his body was unresponsive, her limbs felt heavy and seemed made of rubber. After the third attempt in vain, Sam growled frustrated, feeling like a real fool to believe that he would be granted the opportunity to enjoy something as insignificant to their captors but as an urgent need for it.

feel the consistency of grass under his bare feet would give him strength, would help to remember why they had chosen this place terrible and grievous, the pain that drowned him. The simplicity and familiarity of the green shoots in your skin would make his memory could rebuild the beautiful and almost left it vague memories of his childhood with his brother. Dean could not lose without him ... Sam

put all of them in the next attempt, the name of his brother in his mouth during the entire process, and then managed to stagger a little balancing his weight on his legs. Their achievement was rewarded with the most vivid memory of a summer afternoon in a hut in which Dean and he became one of the best two months of their lives.

Dean's laughter, warmth and carefree, right after his back with a water pump sounded in his ears. Relieved, Sam raised his eyes to the deep blue sky and began to mourn.

With tears and dry and the renewed spirit, Sam decided to take all he could vision and began to explore the area.

was on the side of a mountain covered the same turf that was under his feet. Lavender flowers and wild daisies grew in clusters scattered everywhere. To his left, stood a beautiful bird flying from a leafy tree, the current high winds farther and farther until it disappeared over the horizon. All

was so vast, magnificent. Sam wanted Dean was at his side, only then the vision would be perfect.

Sam kept looking left and right, filled with the beauty and peace that gave him. Turned anxious to discover how wonderful would hold the view behind when the unexpected happened.

At the back door of a small hut, the most beautiful view I expected. The bright green eyes, cheeks streaked with tears and a loving expression, paralyzing surprise and complete disbelief.

Dean.

"Dean?

Oh, god. Dean!

Both reduced the distance between them in seconds to be faced, so close I could feel the heat of their bodies.

Dean initiated the first contact. Tentative, closed his right hand on Sam's neck, his thumb caressing her cheek and fingers buried in his hair too long.

The two sighed in unison, the deep dimples framing his mouth Sam, Dean of small wrinkles framing her eyes.

Sam initiated the first kiss. Determined not to lose a minute, took his brother's face in his hands and put his lips to it. Casto, reverent, until the Dean wrapped his arms and tenderly gave way to passion.

After a few moments, a few centuries, an eternity, Sam ended the kiss and took his brother into the cabin. Sam Dean led upstairs to a room warmly decorated and comfortable bed as the centerpiece.

From the door, as disembodied, completely unnoticed by the lovers, Castiel was allowed to see all the time when Sam entered the body of his brother. With the knowledge that their work was over, the angel left the hut wrapped in a feeling of calm and well-being was not long ago.

One year, three months and two days after Sam fell into hell Dean's heart could not stand the pain of separation and stopped beating while he slept.

One year, three months and two days after falling to hell Sam, Sam and Dean met in heaven.

One year, three months and two days after Sam fell into hell, an angel made the ultimate sacrifice and their existence ceased forever. Continued
